Judge Peinado asks Complutense to clarify how much Begoña Gómez was paid to lead the presidency

The judge investigating Begoña Gómez, wife of the Prime Minister, for alleged crimes of influence peddling and corruption in the business world, has asked the Complutense University to provide her with the amount of remuneration of the person charged for directing the chair of “Competitive Social Transformation”.

In an order collected by Europa Press, Judge Juan Carlos Peinado urges the center to provide “as soon as possible” the list of “students registered and participating in each of the editions” of the chair.

Likewise, the judge asks Complutense to report on “the list of amounts paid, specifying the number of beneficiary checking accounts, to the director of the chair, the assistant director, Professor (José Manuel) Ruano and all the professors.”

In this regard, the instructor asks the La Caixa Foundation and Reale Seguros to “provide the granting files to sponsor the creation of the chair and the subsequent acts of continuation or monitoring of it, with all the documentation provided by Begoña Gómez.”

On the other hand, the magistrate also asked the Central Operational Unit (UCO) of the Civil Guard to report on the progress of the report ordered following the documentation requested from the National Industrial Participation Company (SEPI). It was at the end of last July that Judge Peinado asked SEPI to send him specifically the Air Europa rescue file.
