In the first half of this year, a total of 8,410 monitoring activities were carried out across the country as part of state control measures on land use and protection, and 3,104 violations were detected.

Oku.Az reports that the State Service for Real Estate Affairs of the Ministry of Economy has published information on this matter.

It is reported that five of the detected violation cases were related to the use of land areas under the 20-50 meter sea strip. Relevant documents on the identified violation cases have been sent to law enforcement agencies for action.

During monitoring this month, citizen Rajab Abbasov, a resident of the “Shafa” fish and fence house located on Namig Guliyev Street, has discovered that the territory that is within the Caspian Sea protection zone was occupied and the fence was erected. , Sabail district of Baku.

As a result of the measures taken to comply with the requirements of the legislation, one of the fences in the occupied territory was completely dismantled and the owner of the object began to dismantle the other.

It is noted that the Service implements control measures against inefficient use of land and its arbitrary occupation in accordance with the relevant legislation related to strengthening control over land use, land use in accordance with its intended purpose and elimination of violations found in this area. The Service monitors cases of improper and illegal land use in the territory of the country, including the use of areas under the 20-50 meter strip along the Caspian Sea coast.

It should be noted that, according to the requirements of the Land Code, land located under the coastal strip from 20 to 50 meters of the section of the Caspian Sea belonging to Azerbaijan cannot be alienated, as it remains the exclusive property of the state. It can be used and leased for state purposes only by decision of the Cabinet of Ministers. According to the Code, land areas for use or lease may be closed by fencing or other methods, provided that access to the coast is not restricted, subject to prior authorization from the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the State Border Service and local executive authorities.
