He Science Museum of the University of Navarra gave a training course, pioneering in Spain, on science teaching for teachers of Primary education.
This training, which is called “Mary Anning, the fossil hunter“, consisted of transmitting, through activities around fossils, the dialogical methodology.
This pedagogy, supported by years of educational research, promotes research-based teaching and dialogue between students. The result, highlighted in the evaluation interviews carried out, demonstrates a change in the children’s attitude towards science and a clear improvement in critical thinking skills.

The initiative was made possible with the support of the Templeton Global Charitable Foundation.
The materials developed have been translated into Spanish and are available through the Science Museum of the University of Navarrawhich also offers advice for its implementation.
