The investigation continues into the case of eight-year-old Narin Gura, who went missing on August 21 in Turkey’s Diyarbakır province and whose body was found in a sack in a stream bed near the village 19 days later.
Oku.Az Turkish press reports new details of the incident.
Nevzat Bakhtiyar, who hid Nari’s body by burying it in a stream bed and is one of the suspects in the crime, said Salim Guran, Nari’s uncle, threatened to kill his son.
“When Salim took me to one of the rooms on the left, I saw Nari lying motionless on the floor. As far as I remember, Nari had a foamy liquid in her mouth. Salim told me that I killed her because the girl saw that we were together with Yuksal. Later he made me his accomplice and threatened to kill my son if I did not destroy the body,” said Nevzat Bakhtiyar.
In addition, the Turkish forensic medical institution confirmed that the cause of Nari’s death was asphyxiation.
