The biggest problem, explained the Minister of Finance and Public Administration, Roberto Bermúdez de Castro, is that it is currently impossible to access the Valencian Community by road. “Today, it’s no longer that we’re going to help, it’s that we can help“, he underlined at the end of the CECOP meeting.

When possible, the DGA will also offer help from social workers, Civil Protection volunteers, motor pumps to clean disaster areas, helicopter 112 and those of Infoar.

The Civil Guard helicopter will join this entire deployment, on which the 061 doctors will be able to board. “It’s a very complex situation. We remain available,” he said.

Meanwhile, in Aragon, tension remains. L’Aémet Precipitation is expected to decrease in the coming hours. But this, Bermúdez de Castro recalled, “is not pure mathematics”, which is why special attention continues to be paid to the province of Teruel and the municipalities of Zaragoza such as Cuarte and María de Huerva or Cadrete.

All eyes are on Ibérica. “Especially in Campo de Daroca and the Jiloca region, where it is raining and could continue to rain,” explained the councilor. In municipalities like Montalbán, Herrera de los Navarros, Villar and Hoz de la Vieja, where There are problems on the streets and highways.

The latter city also remained without drinking water, although the Government of Aragon will guarantee the supply of tanks or bottles. The same thing happens with light. “Endesa already operates with generators and there are areas that do not have telephones either. This is happening, without going any further, in Valencia, with whom we have to communicate via WhatApp,” he explained.

Bermúdez de Castro confirmed the eviction of a “group of houses” in Montalbán due to the flooding of the Martín River, as well as the “punctual” warnings about mud in houses in communities like Hoz.

It is expected that little by little normality will return. The next 72 hours will be decisive and will force us to pay attention to the Matarraña area and rivers like the Jalón, the Jiloca, the Martín, the Guadalope, the Huerva or the Matarraña.

Other towns that will be monitored are Albalate and Híjar, as well as Cuarte and María de Huerva and Cadrete, where they are in permanent contact with the mayors to control the flow of the rivers. The same thing happens in Gea de Albarracín or Utrillas. “In Albarracín, Three school courses had to be suspended. All 40 children are at home, it was a major cause. There were also evacuations by the Civil Guard in Cimballa,” said the advisor.
