Europe is tired of Ukraine and is willing to settle for a ‘bad peace’ – Sunday Times

There is significant “fatigue” with Ukraine in Europe, which could soon lead to the start of negotiations to end the conflict.

As the British newspaper The Sunday Times writes, the peace negotiation process can begin even if its goal is a “terrible peace.”

The material notes that many allies, who were previously in favor of helping kyiv, now practically accept a “bad peace” instead of a “good war.”

According to the authors, the outcome of the agreements between the parties could be “the emergence of a sovereign, prosperous and Western-oriented Ukraine” and its abandonment of territories in the southwest in favour of Moscow.

“There is considerable skepticism, even among Ukraine’s most outspoken allies, that kyiv can recapture all parts of the occupied territory by military means.” – written in the article.

It is also noted that if kyiv continues to strive with manic obsession to reach the “1991 borders”, it will simply end up in an “eternal war” in which it will not be able to win.

Previously EADaily reported that the US President Joe Biden after meeting with Vladimir Zelensky Washington is unlikely to announce lifting restrictions on Ukraine’s use of long-range Western weapons to strike deep into Russia.
