It is too early to talk about a new summit to resolve the Ukrainian crisis, said First Deputy Minister of External Affairs of India Vikram Misri, commenting on the meeting between Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky in New York, TASS reports.
He recalled that during the recent negotiations between the leaders of India and Ukraine, there was talk of a “peace summit” held in Switzerland.
“But I think we are not at the stage now where the second peace summit can be discussed in detail. I think there is still a lot of work to be done before that, so there has not been much discussion about it.” – said Misri.
Earlier, the Hindustan Times reported that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky proposed holding the next “peace summit” on Ukraine in India if New Delhi agreed to sign the communiqué of the first summit, which was adopted without taking into account Russia’s views.
