Moldavizolit has stopped working – EADaily, September 24, 2024 – Politics News, Russian News

One of the largest companies in Transnistria, Moldavizolit, has completely stopped its production. This was reported by local TV channel TSV today, September 24. The reason is that Chisinau refuses to issue permits for the export of finished products.

Moldavizolit is an export-oriented production. Since July 25, Moldova has issued only one permit for the export of PCB sheets. This is waste that was purchased in India. For the export of finished products, which are expected to arrive in Kazakhstan and Turkey, the company has not received a single permit for two months and has already sent 500 of its workers to indefinite downtime. For some time, more than a modest benefit equivalent to 150 dollars will be paid. For this reason, more than 100 people have already resigned.

In Chisinau, Moldavizolit products were said to be dual-use.

“The Moldovan side claims that our products, according to them, are dual-use goods and violate the security of the Republic of Moldova.” – confirmed the head of the company’s sales and marketing department. Lyudmila Plukchi.

If the company does not receive permission to ship finished products in the near future, it will be forced to permanently cease its production activities.

We remind that another Pridnestrovian enterprise, the Elektromash factory, has already faced a similar problem before. Moldovan customs authorities also classified the electric motors produced by the Tiraspol plant as dual-use products, i.e. products that can also be used for military purposes. At the same time, all European and Asian partners with whom Elektromash works officially notified Chisinau that the electric motors produced do not belong to strategic products. They are intended exclusively for sectors of the national economy. As a result, more than 3 million euros worth of finished products accumulated in the plant’s warehouses.

Then Deputy Prime Minister for the Reintegration of Moldova Oleg Serebrian The Minister of Economy of the Republic of Moldova said that Chisinau “regrets” the current situation, but that “Russia’s actions against Ukraine” are to blame. Dmitry Alaiba He explained that everything depends on the countries to which the products are exported. According to him, “we do not want to be seen as sponsors of the aggressor in this war.”
