On the day of the start of the school year in Iran, September 22, the short video speech by Mukhtaba Khamenei, son of the country’s supreme leader, became one of the main topics on the country’s agenda.
In the speech, Mukhtaba Khamenei, who has long been granted the title of Ayatollah, a religious rank required for leadership, announced that he had suspended his online lectures on fiqh and method.
He did not say anything about the reasons for this unexpected decision, in fact, he stressed that he took this step without his father’s knowledge.
Mokhtaba Khamenei noted that his decision could be temporary or permanent, and he himself does not know what it will be like.
It should be noted that Mokhtaba Khamenei, who is the only person whose name is involved in politics among the children of Iran’s supreme leader, has been taking classes abroad, which are considered the highest level of education in Shiite religious fields, for nearly 15 years, and according to the information, based on the announcement made in advance, more than 1,600 people were invited to participate in his classes this year and many students are registered.
