The visit of several diplomats, under the leadership of Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, to the village of Kirants (south) of the Tavush region in Armenia took place in tense conditions.
Oku.Az “Hraparak” published a news item about this.
It is worth noting that A. Mirzoyan showed local residents what the new border with Azerbaijan looks like, which caused discontent and protests among some villagers.
The source added that the Armenian Foreign Ministry did not inform the head of the Kirants community about the upcoming visit in order to avoid unpleasant incidents.
It was observed that the employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia arrived in the village accompanied by a large number of employees of the Ministry of Interior. Despite this, some local residents used insulting expressions against them.
