The father of four children who died from dichlorvos poisoning in the village of Krasnaya Sopka, Krasnoyarsk Territory, can be held criminally responsible for causing death by negligence.
This was reported on Saturday, September 28, by the SHOT Telegram channel. He states that the issue of initiating proceedings under Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation is currently being decided.
The publication says that during repeated interrogations, 34-year-old Dmitry admitted that he sprayed Varan insect repellent in all rooms and poorly ventilated the house; only a small window was open. The man was the only one who took a stomach pill when he felt sick.
Let us remember that on September 21 the family went to the hospital with signs of poisoning: they ate chicken and dumplings from a local store.
Subsequently, the health of two children seriously deteriorated and they died in hospital. The next day the death of the third child was announced, and on the night of September 23, the fourth died.
The video did not confirm that the family bought the chicken from a local store. The house in which the poisoned family lived had previously been treated with dichlorvos.
Dmitry and his pregnant wife survived and have since been discharged from the hospital. A few days after the tragedy, the family’s kitten was found dead near the house. The substances that make up Varan were also found in its fur.
As reported EADailyEarlier, the Investigative Committee department for the region and Khakassia explained that in at least a month the exact cause of death of four poisoned children in the Krasnoyarsk Territory would be determined.
