During this act he also accused Edmundo González, calling him a “coward” and saying he “abandoned the people” when he left for Spain after reprisals from the Venezuelan drug dictatorship. “The coward Edmundo González Urrutia fled, abandoned, abandoned the people,” he stressed in this regard.
After attacking opposition leaders, Maduro announced that he would take office on January 10 despite the electoral fraud he committed two months ago. “On January 10, President Nicolás Maduro Moros will take the oath of office with millions of people in the streets, as required by the Constitution,” he said in this regard.
