Christmas nativity scene composition
Regarding the nativity scene, Díaz Ayuso explained that its assembly, with 145 square metershas more than 480 digits important and eminent nativity scene sculptors such as José Luis Mayo, Castells Brothers, Cerrada Brothers, Ángeles Cámara and Olotamong many others. He thanked them for their work in reproducing several main scenes and many secondary scenes from this historic event.
“It has 30 meters of rivers and waterfalls which bring freshness and realism. Beyond the village lies a vast desert. Around 1,200 kilos of cork, 120 boxes of foam and around 1,000 kilos of sand and stones were used,” detailed the head of the Regional Executive.
During the visit you can see completely new constructions which were made especially for this nativity scene, where the visitor is transported to a desert town created with great detail, with its lively streets, street vendors and typical Berber tents.
On the other side of this desert space rises the Nativity, located on a small island surrounded by crystal clear water, a symbol of life which represents the coming of the Lord, and a spiritual beacon and refuge of peace, which invites reflection on medium. of the activity that surrounds it. Two rivers flow down from the mountains leading to a 17 meter long waterfall, bringing freshness and realism to the environment.
In total, 58 volunteers from Association of Nursery Designers of Madrid worked on this spectacular and innovative montage in which they reproduced eight scenes: the Dream of Joseph, the Annunciation to the Virgin Mary, the Visitation of Saint Elizabeth, the Request of Posada, the Annunciation to the Shepherds, the Nativity, the ‘Adoration of the Three Wise Men and the Flight into Egypt.
