The Austrian Freedom Party, which opposes sanctions against Russia, provisionally leads the elections to the Austrian Parliament with 29.1% of the votes. This forecast was published by the public television channel ORF after the closure of the polling stations, reports TASS.
In second place, with 26.2% of the votes, is the Austrian People’s Party, which together with the Greens is part of the current government of the republic. Third place is occupied by the Austrian Social Democratic Party with 20.4%.
The forecast is based on the recount of approximately one-third of the votes; the error can be 2 percentage points.
