The Italian police launched an operation this Monday Milan with dozens of arrests and searches of members of ultra groups of the Inter Milan and the AC Milanincluding several ringleaders, for alleged criminal organization with links to the mafia, extortion, injuries and other serious crimes, according to a press release.
“Since the early hours of this morning, a vast operation of the State Police And Financial Guardcoordinated by the Anti-mafia direction of the Milan Public Prosecutor’s Office“, indicated the two police forces in a joint press release.
Those arrested, among whom are the leaders of the ultra groups of the two teams, are suspected of “crimes of criminal conspiracy with a mafia method, in addition to extortion, injury and other serious crimes.”
Furthermore, much research is underway to continue to collect information on these ultra groups, with the clear objective of reaching the leaders of these groups. Indeed, among those arrested would be one of the main ultra leaders of Inter, Marco Ferdicoand the leader of AC Milan’s most radical fans, Luca Lucci.
The two ultra groups were already in the spotlight, after the death, a few weeks ago, of Antonio Belloccoleader of the Interradicals and linked to the Calabrian mafia Ndrangheta. His alleged murder is also being investigated by prosecutors.
