An exhibition of works by artists from the RAK Art Foundation operating in Bahrain opened in Baku on August 30.
AZERTAC reports that at the event, the vice president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla AliyevaThe event was attended by Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan, Executive Director of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Anar Alakbarov.
Speaking at the opening of the exhibition, founder of RAK Art Foundation, prominent Bahraini artist and collector Rashid Al Khalifa, expressed his satisfaction that Bahraini artists shared their inexhaustible talents with art lovers in Azerbaijan. He noted that RAK Art Foundation promotes international collaboration and mutual understanding.
Rashid Al Khalifa said the purpose of the cooperation is to introduce the rich tapestries of Bahraini artists to the lively and colorful art scene of Baku.
Emin Mammadov, President of OJSC “Azerkhalcha”, said that cooperation with artist Rashid Al Khalifa and the RAK Art Foundation reflects the broader formation of art, international friendship and cultural understanding.
“I am glad that the overall outlook for Bahraini contemporary art exhibitions has been revived in Baku. I believe that this will lead to further expansion of partnership opportunities between our countries.”
It should be noted that prior to this, several exhibitions of Rashid Al Khalifa were organized at the Heydar Aliyev Center.
