The IDF revealed how it prepared for the operation against Hezbollah

The IDF revealed details of preparations for a ground operation against Hezbollah in southern Lebanon. According to army representatives, since the beginning of the war, more than 70 secret and selective special operations have been carried out aimed at destroying the group’s military infrastructure. During these operations, Israeli forces spent more than 200 nights in Lebanon, with some operations lasting several days.

This was reported by the Alexey Zheleznov Telegram channel.

IDF forces penetrated Hezbollah tunnels, destroyed weapons and ammunition depots, planted explosives, and smuggled intelligence documents into Israeli territory. On two occasions, Israeli soldiers were injured: once by a booby trap and another by the detonation of an old bomb left on the battlefield. It is noteworthy that Hezbollah did not recognize any of these operations and there were no direct clashes with the terrorists.

The operations were carried out at a distance of up to 2-3 km from the border with Israel in the area of several villages. For example, underground bunkers and tunnels associated with the Radwan battalions, Hezbollah’s elite unit, were discovered in Lavon. In Aita a-Sha’b, Israeli forces destroyed dozens of mines and destroyed rocket launchers and ammunition depots. In the village of Miss Al Jabal, tunnels were found leading to weapons depots intended to prepare for the occupation of Israeli territory.

IDF spokesman Hagari said the special operations were a preparation for a ground maneuver aimed at completely destroying Hezbollah’s remaining infrastructure, including underground tunnels. During this time, the IDF managed to destroy more than 700 targets, significantly weakening the group’s capabilities.

Previously, Cursor reported whether the IDF operation in Lebanon would go beyond the “limited” scope.
