According to him, the main danger of storing the car in the garage in winter is the acceleration of corrosion processes.
“The reason for this is the sudden changes in temperature that occur when the car enters a warm garage due to frost (or vice versa). If the driver actively uses the car, it is recommended not to leave it in the garage during the night in winter. It is better to store the car in a frozen place, because at negative temperatures chemical processes develop more slowly.” – stated the expert.
Popov also advised applying protective wax to the car’s paint when the season changes.
“Although this makes the operation a little more expensive, the wax container will protect it from grains of salt and sand that come out from under the wheels and destroy the paint layer,” he concluded.
