Employees of the Astara Customs Department of the State Customs Committee discovered a large amount of narcotics.
Oku.Az informs that the State Customs Committee released the information in this regard.
It was reported that a vehicle carrying a shipment of “plums and grapes” from Iran to Russia, in transit through the territory of Azerbaijan, was inspected using a stationary X-ray device at the Astara Customs Department. When suspicious lines were observed on the monitor, loads were unloaded into the vehicle and a thorough inspection was performed with the use of a canine service dog.
According to the reaction of the service dog, narcotics were discovered in 80 boxes of grapes: marijuana, with a total net weight of 76 kg 135 grams, hidden from customs control.
The incident is being investigated.
