A pregnant woman died as a result of a four-car collision in St. Petersburg. This was reported by the press service of the General Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city.
The accident occurred at the 64th kilometer of the outer ring of the ring road in the Pushkinsky district. According to police, the Infiniti driver, while changing lanes to the right, was not convinced that the maneuver was safe and collided with a Chevrolet, then a Volvo truck stopped on the side of the road, and then a Toyota.
The driver of the Infinity, his pregnant wife and another passenger were taken to the hospital.
“We received a phone message from a medical center that the woman died in the hospital from her injuries. “I was six months pregnant.” – says the message.
A 22-year-old young man driving a foreign vehicle left the medical center alone. A criminal case has been initiated against him under Art. 264 Part 3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation of traffic rules and vehicle operation, resulting in the death of a person due to negligence).
“Measures have been taken to search for and arrest the suspect.” – reported the department.
