The Valencian company clarifies to its customers the origin of this fruit at the start of the national campaign
Mercadona explained through its customer service channel the origin of the tangerines it sells in its supermarkets and through its online e-commerce channel.
The company chaired by Juan Roig » clarifies the most frequent doubts of “bosses”, as she calls her clients, and compiles them on her website.
Mercadona says the varieties of tangerines it sells depending on the time of year are Clemenrrubi, Oronules, Clemenules, Clemenvilla, Tango/Nadorcott and Ortanique.
The Valencian company emphasizes that when the Spanish campaign begins at the beginning of October and until approximately the end of June, it sells in its establishments 100% national mandarins from different autonomous communities. Specifically, Mercadona purchases tangerines from producers in Andalusia, the Murcia region, the Valencian Community and Catalonia.
Currently, Mercadona is selling mandarins of the variety at the beginning of October Oronulesboth in bulk and in boxes of one and a half kilos. Among its suppliers is Bollo Natural Fruit, a company based in the Valencian city of Sherry.
Mercadona emphasizes that more than 95% of the total mandarins it sells throughout the year are of national origin.
