“Today the simulation of a bombing reached Seville“. This is the message with which the capital woke up this Tuesday after the simultaneous detonation of dozens of large caliber firecrackers early in the morning and in different parts of the city, just when a year of war between Israel and Palestine. The organized action coincides with the distribution of different posters in which the act of vandalism is justified and denounces that “the Spanish State is complicit in genocide“.
The detonations were heard in the central square of San Román, in the square of Zurraque de Triana and in the square of San Gil, near the Basilica of the Macarena. “I was in bed and I woke up and it sounded like explosions”a resident of San Román tells OKDIARIO Andalucía.
Between 5:30 a.m. and 5:45 a.m. A dozen residents from different neighborhoods of Seville alerted 112 of the detonations. Surprised, some of them looked out the windows and saw a group of hooded men throw firecrackers and run away. The ads also come from other areas of the city, such as Calle Previsión or Calle Llerena, in the old town.

From EMERGENCIES They emphasize that those responsible acted in a “coordinated” manner. Police sources confirmed to OKDIARIO Andalucía that there is a queue of open investigation to clarify what happened and find those presumed responsible, who did not hesitate to leave clues.
“Does the sound of gunpowder bother you? This noise, with its deadly effects, is what the Palestinian population has been experiencing for a year. Israel and its supporters are only profiting from the genocide. The lives of these people have become a bargaining chip for the crisis of capital which, sooner or later, will devastate the West and, therefore, with you too“, we read on one of the posters posted in a garage on Socorro Street.
The leaflet also accuses the “Spanish State” of being “direct accomplice to the genocide of Palestine”: “Today, the simulation of a bombing reached the city of Seville in order to bring this reality closer to the neighborhoods. Let’s stop thinking that this is an exclusive fact between Israel and Palestine, because in this spectacle of war there is lots of bloodstained hands also in our territory.
Pro-Palestinian protests
This Monday, on the occasion of the first anniversary of the war in Gaza, the Palestinian Solidarity Platform of Seville organized a new mobilization in the capital of Seville. The demonstrators gathered in Plaza Nueva and from there they headed towards Las Setas to demand an end to the “genocide” in Palestine and demand that the government sever its institutional relations with Israel.
