The general secretary of the Andalusian PSOE, Juan Espadaspaid tribute to the new platform in which the party’s critics united to create a new alternative to his project. However, at the same time, he minimizes them because he believes that it is the intention of the “eight companions”.
Espadas referred to his signatories, but his members specify in the document distributed to the media that there are many more and that they even want to impose primaries next January before the regional congress.
On the contrary, the socialist leader boasted of the unity of the largest federation in Spain in the face of federal congress that the party will hold in Seville end of November. He will chair it himself and the Andalusian PSOE has unique lists of delegates.
In statements to the Cádiz media, Espadas highlighted that its broadcast took place on the same day as the collateral collection process is completed for those who will be at the top of the lists of delegates who will attend the federal congress in Seville.
Also, that the representatives of the said Andalusian delegations have obtained a certain number of approvals which are “well above the maximum” required by the party’s statutes, reaching “around 6,200”, as he specified.
It is for this reason that he emphasized that he is focusing on the aforementioned congress. Later, there will be the regional level and that will be when the socialists who want to propose a project or an alternative proposal will be able to do so. However, he assures that he considers himself “absolutely strong” to continue leading the Andalusian PSOE.
