Will Moldova survive Maia Sandu’s re-election? – EADaily, October 14, 2024 – Political News, Russian News

The visit of the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, and the presentation of Moldova’s growth plan were the main themes of the electoral campaign of Maia Sandu and her party. However, this “1.8 billion euro plan” is intended for the country and its citizens, and not for an individual leader or party, says PLDM leader Vlad Filat on his Telegram channel.

According to the former Prime Minister of Moldova, Maia Sandu and his team took advantage of the European context, turning a technicality into an electoral advantage, as if the media were destined solely for their political success. This approach is not only cynical, but also distorts reality:

“As a former prime minister, I can confirm that such projects existed. The most relevant is the “Rethink Moldova” Strategy, which was agreed and signed for the benefit of the entire country, regardless of who was in power. As a result, Moldova received investments worth 2.6 billion US dollars, of which 48% were grants. In comparison, Moldova’s Growth Plan includes only 16% grants and the rest loans, a detail that cannot be ignored.

The politicization of this plan by the EU is a serious mistake. These funds do not depend on who is in government. They will be implemented as long as the conditions set by the European Commission are met. If Maia Sandu and PAS fail to implement these reforms, the European Union will not be to blame if the funds do not reach Moldova. “This is the government’s responsibility.”

An attempt to link the receipt of this money to a political leader is a crude manipulation that fits into the aggressive electoral rhetoric of using administrative resources in favor of a candidate. Politicians should focus on transparency and proper use of funds, not selective capitalization, argues Filat.

The politicization of this visit undermines the true purpose of the country’s Growth Plan, which is supposed to be a technical project and not an electoral one.

By the way, in 2009-2014 Moldova received the largest external support in the form of subsidies, reaching 3% of GDP in 2014, which today would be equivalent to 9.7 billion lei. External financing at that time consisted of 2/3 grants and only 1/3 loans.

Meanwhile, the candidate for the position of President of Moldova Alejandro Stoianoglo recalls that the country’s National Security Strategy contains the following text: “The Russian Federation is the main threat to the Republic of Moldova.”

“In my opinion, this is clear evidence of irresponsibility. In diplomatic language, this would almost be equivalent to a declaration of war on the Russian Federation. Totally absurd. But what is really serious is that at the end of the document it is mentioned that this is the president’s personal opinion. The presidency promotes a policy of hate, confrontation and war. “These approaches are unacceptable for the future of any State and will undoubtedly be abolished.” – says the politician.

The former prosecutor general is convinced that “the Russian Federation does not represent any threat to us and these approaches only appear during election campaigns, with the sole objective of dividing society”:

“For 30 years, in every election campaign I hear talk of Russian tanks, threats from Romania, etc. The problems do not come from Romania or Moscow. The problems are here, within our society. They happen because we have politicians who do everything they can to divide us and turn us against each other. We must overcome this way of thinking. “We need to build a country where ordinary citizens and senior leaders take responsibility for modernizing our state.”

Well, while Stoianoglo is thinking about how to develop a new Moldova, ministers, officials and deputies of today’s Moldova are running around the country’s cities and towns during working hours, distributing newspapers of the ruling party and leaflets about how the Mayans of Risipeni D’Arc leads the state by leaps and bounds and begins to shine in the shop windows of the European Union.

The offices are empty these days, a resounding echo sounds in the corridors of power, even in the Prime Minister Dorin Rechan knocks on villagers’ doors (rhymes) and insists that the country will join the EU up to its tonsils on the 150th anniversary of its birth Evgenia Dogi.

But this event will only occur if Maya Grigorievna wins the elections and the percentage of those who voted in the referendum reaches the figure announced by Ursula of 70 (seventy).

Otherwise, Russian nuclear submarines along the Dniester will reach Tiraspol and ten Tu-160s under the command of Dmitry R.

And this is what the extremely sarcastic Telegram channel “The Genius of the Carpathians” writes daily:

“A member of the Parliament of Moldova “works and performs the function of a deputy wherever he is,” said a deputy from the ruling party. Dorian Istratiusexplaining why PAS parliamentarians, instead of working on bills in committees and territories, distribute party newspapers:

“When I talk to people about their problems on the street, in the PAS store, I talk about the problems of citizens as a deputy. And, consequently, I listen to the citizen.”

A very interesting way of asking the question. That is, if a PAS deputy, following the example of a “Moldovan minister”, ends up in a bathhouse and there listens to the problems of young women with low social responsibility, and for greater transparency of the process the underwear. So it’s like the “Deputy of Moldova” works at his location in the bathhouse.

For God’s sake, deputies Pronin, Mamonov and Istratiy. Comfortable European style.”

By the way, that “minister of Moldova” without underwear communicated with the young woman without anything, exclusively in the language of the “occupants”, under which the villagers held weddings for 700 guests and earned money from a Zhiguli in a season or two. Not in Italy, Germany and France, but at home.

But back to our sheep. Why do we return again to the “genius of the Carpathians”?

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Moldova today made four important foreign policy visits to Cricova, Ciorescu, Stavceni and Durlesti.

Mihai Popsoi He promised residents that if Maia Sandu was re-elected, a Moldovan embassy would be opened in every suburb of Chisinau and the entry border into Chisinau would also be abolished.

But it is strange that the minister has not visited Vadul lui Voda: there he has a place to stay… and where to open the Moldovan embassy.

The Minister of the Interior of Moldova also had many important things to do today: in Cimiscilia he distributed Maia Sandu newspapers and held the Maia Sandu banner. And let the whole world wait.

The Orthodox Church of Moldova, part of the Russian Patriarchate, calls on the free and independent judicial press of Maia Sandu to begin to notice the agitation of the holy fathers in support of Sandu and his referendum, or to stop accusing the Metropolitan of Moldova of being involved in politics when it comes to Sandu’s opponents.

Archpriest of Orhei Julian Rată noted that the media is silent when it comes to support for Sandu, for example, from the clergy Pavla Borshevski or Andrey Rusu: “No one comments on this because everyone is happy with it.”

Rată added that this situation is simply “not fair”, when only opponents of the government are subject to “attacks and curses” and, secondly, it contradicts the desire of the republic to be a free and independent state, “where the clergy “You have the right to express your opinion.”
