The president of Vox, Santiago Abascalcelebrated on Thursday that the European Union is strengthening immigration control with solutions such as deportation centers outside the community territory, and said that since its creation they have been in favor of doing “everything possible ” to stop mass immigration to Europe. He also recalled that we must fight against human trafficking “mafias” in addition to monitoring the seas and the external borders of the European Union. Today, for Abascal, the most important thing is to reduce the appeal effect by sending the message not to regularize anyone who enters Europe illegally.
At a press conference in Brussels after a meeting of the leaders of the European group Patriots for Europe, the Vox leader said there was an “inexorable” electoral advance of the different patriotic forces on the continent due to the reaction of citizens. immigration policies defended by progressive parties. “They promote the call effect in an absolutely brutal manner, with the consequences that this has on the European populations. And we see with hope that alternative majorities are beginning to form, that there is a reaction from people who do not accept that an immigration policy is imposed on them that affects their security, their public services and their identity. We see that Europe is evolving little by little and we were able to talk about everyone today at the meeting of Patriots“, explained Abascal.
Likewise, he explained that “some, as soon as they govern, even certain social democrats, see how much they have to make a a much tougher immigration policy“. In this sense, he predicted a change in the political landscape following the “invasion” of immigrants in different European countries.
Regarding the meeting between the leaders of Patriotas por Europa, Abascal revealed that it was a meeting of “great coincidences”, fundamentally due to the fight for immigration policybut also because of the opposition to European federalism which wants to “stifle sovereignties”.
The leader of Vox also celebrated that there was a majority among the popular, the conservatives and the patriots to recognize Edmundo Gonzalez as the elected president of Venezuela. An agreement that breaks the alliance between socialists and the popular people.
Regarding the government of Pedro Sánchez, Santiago Abascal, declared that Spain suffers from the Executive “the most corrupt in Europe“, a government which is the subject of an investigation for “corruption of the wife, the brother of number two, of President Sánchez and even of this prosecutor who reports to Sánchez and who claims not to be indicted while threatening the opposition in television interviews. But we also suffer from the most extremist government in Europe.
A few hours before this meeting with his Patriots partners, the president of Vox had a meeting with the Italian Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloniduring which they also analyzed for almost two hours the national and international news of their country as well as the serious migration crisis facing the southern regions of Europe. Abascal expressed the good harmony that Vox maintains with the Prime Minister.
“We have always been supporters of collaboration far beyond the groups we are part of. When we were part of the Conservatives and Reformists group, we had alliances with parties belonging to different groups. Today we are part of Patriots but we believe that dialogue with conservatives and reformists (…) will be what will make the difference in the future of Europe,” he concluded.
