A reminder for the Armenian journalist: Western Azerbaijanis are the original inhabitants of Armenia

It is natural that what is happening in Azerbaijan is being watched from Armenia, as well as by Armenians around the world. However, traditional distortions have a negative effect on the normalisation process between the parties and undermine trust in Armenia.

There was a time when Armenian ideologues Silva Kapitukyan, Zori Balayan and Abel Agambekyan campaigned against Azerbaijan, gave interviews and wrote fictional articles. They tried to make their writings and propaganda credible by referring to the alleged ideas of anti-Turkish Armenian ideologues and sponsors who preceded them. In this way, they created a false Armenian history. For more than a hundred years, Armenian society has been led to believe this false history.

Several generations of Armenians grew up on the basis of these fictions. In 1988-1989, Armenians, who received a national education based on these frauds, expelled Western Azerbaijanis from their homes and confiscated their property. About 300,000 Western Azerbaijanis were forcibly deprived of Armenian citizenship. With the help and support of their fans, they occupied Azerbaijani Karabakh and the surrounding regions for almost 30 years and Armenianized places and geographical names. The Armenian occupation razed Azerbaijani lands and buildings, destroyed and blew up cultural, religious and historical monuments.

Their barbaric acts were further exposed after the 44-day Patriotic War. This war also destroyed the false thoughts of Armenian ideologues and the myth formed about their heroism.

Unfortunately, there are still followers of the Balayans, Agambeks and Caputicans.

They have not yet learned from the fraud of the ideologues of the ethnic group to which they belong. Unfortunately, the Armenians continue to propagate in the traditional way.

On August 27, an Armenian lady named Melody Seraydaryan published an article entitled “Irredentist propaganda is rampant in Azerbaijani youth summer camp” on the website “armenianweekly”. It would be better not to comment on this article, which is not suitable for your age and head. However, since we are familiar with the technology of traditional Armenian propaganda, we decided to give a brief response.

According to information about him, this journalist is from Los Angeles. He is an active member of the local Armenian community in California. He is a journalist. He is studying Media Studies in media, law and politics at the University of California.

First, let’s start with the word “irredentism”. The meaning of a word of Italian origin is the following: the idea of uniting the territories outside the borders of a state into that state, when there is a unity of language, religion, ancestry and culture. It is a term derived from the Italian national unification movement of the 19th century. In this sense we understand Trente, Dalmatia, Trieste and Fime, which have cultural and ethnic ties with Italy, but are outside the administration of this new State.

This term can be applied to Azerbaijani lands when they are divided. South Azerbaijan, Borchali, Darbend, West Azerbaijan are the homeland of Azerbaijanis. In this sense, a number of events can be considered as irredentist movements. However, this does not mean that Azerbaijan makes territorial claims against other countries. Because the constitution of the State of Azerbaijan does not contain any article on the occupation of foreign lands.

The author begins his well-known article with information about the fifth summer camp for diaspora youth in Lachin, the former land of Azerbaijan, which took place from August 1 to 7 and was jointly organized by the State Committee for Work with the Diaspora of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. He traditionally Armenianized the city of Lachin and other Azerbaijani toponyms as propagandists of the ethnic group to which he belongs.

In the last part of the article, it becomes clear that Melody’s main pain is the screening of a documentary called “A Close Look at Western Azerbaijan”, which shows “the historical and architectural monuments, geography and natural beauties of Western Azerbaijan” in the countryside, and a presentation on “The History and Changed Toponyms of Western Azerbaijan” will be held.

The Armenian journalist described the dissemination of information about Azerbaijani lands and the transfer of historical truth to the international community and the diaspora as “Pan-Turkist territorial ambitions rooted in revisionist and expansionist concepts,” and stated that the European Parliament and the Council of Europe have condemned these claims.

After all, the history books read by Europeans confirm that these territories belong to Azerbaijani Turks. In France, which is considered the main advisor and protector of Armenians, there is not even a sign of Armenians on the maps of the Middle Ages. The historical conditions of how they settled in the South Caucasus over the past 200 years are known. So the question arises: were the territories where Armenians settled empty before them? Of course not. Turks lived on those lands, whom we now call Western Azerbaijanis. Archaeological excavations, toponyms, place names, religious monuments and cultural historical monuments prove this. For example, there is the Blue Mosque in Yerevan. This Islamic religious temple belonging to Azerbaijanis was built in 1766 by order of Iravan Khan Huseynali Khan and is one of the architectural examples of Azerbaijan. The Blue Mosque is the largest among the mosques in Yerevan. During the Tsarist period, there were 8 mosques in Yerevan where Azerbaijanis worshipped. In the 20th century, the Armenians burned this mosque twice in 1918 and 1955.

English researcher Thomas de Waal writes: “The fact that the Armenians so easily erased the Azerbaijani mosque can be explained by a linguistic game: you say that Azerbaijanis in Armenia can easily be erased from the country’s history. Because until the 20th century, Azerbaijanis were called “Tatars”, “Turks” or simply “Muslims”. However, they were neither Persians nor Turks. In short, they were the ancestors of today’s Azerbaijanis. About the “Persian mosque”, they want to forget that 1,760 Azerbaijanis have been praying in this mosque since…

After obtaining a state in Armenia with the help of Russia and the USSR, the Armenians began to carry out the policy of Armenianization in that area. The deportation of Azerbaijanis from Western Azerbaijan took place in three stages:

The first stage, 1905-1920 years;

The second stage, 1948-1953;

The third stage, 1988-1992.

Another quote from the author’s post: “These camps provide children with a distorted view of history by feeding them biased narratives that portray neighboring nations as historical enemies.”

This is a very ridiculous approach. Because representatives of the ethnic group to which the journalist belongs have been portraying Turks, including Azerbaijanis, as enemies of their children for many years. Zori Balayan, who grew up with such an upbringing, wrote about the genocide they committed in Khojaly on February 26, 1992 in his book “Revival of our Soul”: “When we entered the house we captured in Khojaly with Khachatur, our soldiers nailed a 13-year-old Turkish boy to the window. The Turkish boy made a lot of noise. Khachatur put the boy’s severed breast in his mouth. Then I removed the skin from his head, chest and stomach. I looked at the clock and the Turkish boy passed away 7 minutes later. The same happened to 3 other Turkish children. I did my duty as an Armenian. I knew that all Armenians would be proud of our actions.”

Let us consider the confessions of the former President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan about the genocide committed in Khojaly: “Before Khojaly, Azerbaijanis thought that we were joking with them. It seemed to them that Armenians could not raise their hands against civilians. We were able to break this stereotype…” He, in response to a journalist’s question about whether he regrets the death of thousands of people, said: “I do not regret it, even if thousands of people die, such harsh measures are necessary.”

“Inform yourself every night of the evil you have done to a Turk during the day,” said the Armenians to whom Melody, who erected a statue of Garegin Njde in Yerevan, belongs to the servant of the fascists. This journalist from Los Angeles was raised in the spirit of Njde, Balayan and Sargsyan.

From this point of view, it seems ridiculous that he is involved in the education of Azerbaijani teenagers and young people. The Melodys grew up with the upbringing of Turkish enmity.

The European Union and the Council of Europe, which she refers to as a base, have not accepted a single ruling on the violation of civil and human rights of 300,000 Western Azerbaijanis. Therefore, the bearers of this kind of thinking are enemies of the Turks, regardless of the country in which they live. These guys are a constant obstacle to the normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia. They are the main problem for the ethnic group to which they belong. Melody also went against all the rules of journalism and could not hide her Turkish enmity. One more reminder for this lady: Western Azerbaijanis are the real owners of Armenia and Armenians are not foreigners.
