Airbus recorded a net profit of 1,808 million euros between January and September, 22% less than over the same period of 2023, still weighed down by spending in the space corresponding to the first half, as communicated by the company.
During the first nine months, adjusted operating profit fell 23%, to 2,798 million euroswhile revenues reached 44.514 million euros for the European manufacturer, or 5% more than a year earlier.
Airbus space activity
Despite its positions in the space sector, the company’s CEO, William Faurystressed that these results reflect the level of commercial aircraft deliveries and a “solid” performance in helicopters.
The net cash position as of June 30 is 26% lower than that of September 30, 2024, reaching €7,163 million, while free cash flow after customer financing is negative in 845 million.
For the remainder of the year, the company believes there will be no additional disruptions to the global economy, air traffic, supply chain or company operations.
Thus, it expects to reach 770 commercial aircraft deliveries by the end of the year, exceeding the 735 of 2023, an adjusted operating profit of around 5.5 billion euros and free cash flow before customer financing of approximately 3.5 billion euros.
