Andalusian Parliament still remains 25N without agreement on gender violence while Vox rejects joint declaration

To begin with, as explained by the parliamentary spokesperson of the PP, Toni Martín, two different resolution proposals were registered.. One of them came from the PSOE and was dismissed by the majority group in the House (the PP) when it understood that it could not generate unanimity. The second, from Vox, was rejected for the same reason because it was incompatible with the rest of the groups.

On average, the PP chose to collectThe institutional declaration approved by the Andalusian Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (in which the main parties are represented) and propose it as a consensus text. “When a woman is mistreated, the whole of society is mistreated; violence against women is the maximum expression of inequality; “The fight against gender-based violence challenges the entire society and the work of institutions is to strengthen all mechanisms for prevention, care, support and protection of victims,” specifies the text approved by the municipalities.

The political groups of PP, PSOE, Por Andalucía y Adelante Andalucía have agreed to support this text which will ultimately be read as a manifesto before the start of the plenary session and not as an institutional declaration after Vox does not accept the agreement.

There was also no consensus this year on institutional event organized by the Andalusian Government in which a representative of the Vox formation participated but in which neither the PSOE nor Por Andalucía were present.
