Apple abandons negotiations to join OpenAI investment round

Apple withdrew from negotiations to invest in an OpenAI funding round expected to generate around $6.5 billion, as reported by The Wall Street Journal.

Specifically, The Cupertino-based tech giant has decided not to participate in discussions for this investment round, which should conclude next week. The information comes from a source close to the matter, according to the economic newspaper.

The funding round has attracted the attention of other major tech companies like Microsoft and Nvidia. Microsoft is rumored to be willing to contribute around $1 billion to OpenAI, increasing its investment. precedent of 13,000 million dollars in the company specializing in artificial intelligence.
