Russia has expressed its strong condemnation of the assassination of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, stressing that the incident worsens the humanitarian crisis in Lebanon.

The Kremlin drew attention to the consequences of “the indiscriminate bombings that affected peaceful areas of the country and caused numerous civilian casualties.”
The Russian Federation also noted that Nasrallah’s death sparked a wave of instability in the Middle East, which could lead to a further escalation of the conflict.
Recall that the Russian Foreign Ministry issued a statement condemning the attacks carried out by the Israeli Air Force against residential areas in southern Beirut on September 27.
According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, the target of the Israeli attack was Hezbollah terrorist targets, including the organization’s main operational headquarters. Furthermore, it is reported that during these bombings residential buildings were destroyed and dozens of civilians were injured.
On September 28, Israel officially confirmed the liquidation of the Secretary General of Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, a terrorist organization for more than thirty years. Nasrallah’s leadership in the organization was also confirmed by Hezbollah itself.
The international community condemned Israel’s actions, pointing out that they could lead to an aggravation of the situation in the Middle East and aggravate the crisis in Lebanon.
The Russian side emphasized the importance of coordinated actions of the world community to avoid a large-scale confrontation in the region.
