At least 12 people died in an explosion at a steel plant in the Mexican state of Tlaxcala.
Oku.Az TASS reports that the regional Department of Civil Defense has published information in this regard.
“The Civil Defense reports that at the SIMEC facilities located in Xalostok, kilometer 123 of the Mexico-Veracruz federal highway, an explosion occurred that, according to preliminary information, caused the collapse of the foundry tower. Firefighters are at the scene.
“The Prosecutor’s Office began an investigation to identify those responsible for the incident,” wrote the state governor, Lorena Cuellar, on the social network “X.”
