Black Friday is not only the opportunity to get the best discounts in your trusted physical and online stores, it is also the ideal opportunity to go on a trip at a very low price. For some time now, hotels and transport lines have been joining this sales season, so it is likely that you can enjoy a getaway or a trip to your favorite destination at a discounted price. As for the rest of the companies, next Friday November 29 will be the day of exceptional discounts, but the sales for many companies will begin on November 22, so pay attention in case an interesting offer appears throughout the week. From Renfe to major airlines, they all have a discount.
Black Friday on airlines
If you are looking for a cheap flight, this Black Friday is a good opportunity. Airlines are also on sale this season, so now is the time to get flights at the best price. Sale start dates start on different days depending on the company, luckily most have deals you can sign up for to get early access to their discounts. They also generally have a newsletter, which will allow you to stay informed:
- Iberia and Iberia Express: sales on November 29.
- Ryanair: Sales from November 25. You can register for flights in advance.
- Air Europe: Sales on November 29 and exclusive sale on the web before this date. Offers go up to 25% on online sales.
- Vueling: Sales from November 25. It has a newsletter that will notify you when Black Friday discounts appear.
If you don’t want to have to distribute your efforts so much between different airlines, you can use online flight comparators, where by adding the origin and destination of your trip and the departure dates, they will summarize the best prices for your itinerary.
Black Friday Renfe
The rail transport company Renfe is offering a wide range of train journeys with juicy discounts this Black Friday. This November 22, Renfe has already published discounted train tickets on its website, a sales period that will last until December 1. The company offers trains in its different modalities.
Those known as Renfe Superprices offer discounts that cover all modes of transport: these are discounts on AVE, Avlo, Alvia, Euromed, Intercity and AVE International trains for trips starting next January 8. These are deals aimed at pre-arranged trips, so it’ll be worth it to be proactive and start planning your getaway.
The deals on Avlo routes stand out. We are talking about tours that can cost as little as 7 euros. If you want to travel between Madrid and the Valencian Community (or the north of the country), the reduction reaches a minimum price of 14 euros. There are also discounts to go to Andalusia, with tickets starting from 18 euros. In addition, it is added that in most cases the price for choosing a seat (the Choose option) has been reduced, which during this period will only cost one euro. Here are some of the best deals:
- Madrid-Cádiz: from 18 euros, 19 with Choose.
- Madrid Granada: from 18 euros, 19 with Choose.
- Lleida-Seville: from 35 euros, 36 with Choose.
- Madrid Palencia: from 14 euros, 15 with Choose.
- Madrid Bilbao: from 14 euros, 15 with Choose.
- Madrid Gijón: from 18 euros, 19 with Choose.
- Barcelona-Montpellier: from 29 euros.
Travel to Spain with Black Friday
With discounts in mind, it’s time to organize trips. One of our proposals is that you take advantage of the Black Friday discounts for tourism within the country.
- Bilbao: As you have seen, traveling by train to the north is cheaper than ever, so this is a good opportunity for you to visit it. If you haven’t already done so, we recommend that you take the opportunity to visit Bilbao. Last August the city celebrated its Big Week, but even though it is over, there is still an opportunity to celebrate this wonderful city. We recommend, once there, to visit the Azkuna Zentroa and its exhibitions. It is a multidisciplinary space full of innovation born from a former winery designed in 1909.
- Grenade: The Andalusian city has the particularity of growing in the hearts of those who visit it, which is why we recommend that, if you can, you go there at least once. If you have already visited the Alhambra, we recommend visiting the towns near the city. Among them Salobreña stands out, a fairytale town that is also located on the beach.
- Palence: This town is a must for discovering Spain. As added value, the town hall offers a guide so you can visit Palencia in record time. Among other things, they recommend a walk along Calle Mayor, “the commercial nerve center of the city”, they define. They also encourage you to visit Palencia Cathedral, known as “The Beautiful Unknown”.
International travel with Black Friday
If, on the other hand, you want to take advantage of this Black Friday to travel abroad, many destinations have discounts. Whether by plane or train, you can visit different parts of the world with attractive offers and organize the trip of a lifetime at a discounted price. We leave you two examples in Europe:
- Montpellier: As we mentioned, international trains to destinations like Montpellier are discounted this Black Friday. Enjoy a getaway to this French town just ten kilometers from the Mediterranean Sea. Montpellier likes cold temperatures very well, so right now it has a winter atmosphere worthy of a movie. We recommend seeing the Heart of the City in Lights, a sound and light show projected onto the city’s emblematic buildings at this time of year.
- Ireland: It is a destination where deals are expected from the majority of airlines. Like Montpellier, it’s a great place to see in winter. Once in the country, we recommend heading to the Carrick a Rede Suspension Bridge. It is a structure that connects the two points that give it its name, at an altitude of 25 meters.
