In the last few hours, Ertzaintza arrested five young people aged between 20 and 25 years oldaccused of the crime of injuries for their alleged participation in a collective attack recorded Friday at dawn in the Guipuzcoan town of Andoain. The victim, along with multiple facial fractures which were quite serious, he was taken to a medical center to have his injuries treated.
As reported by the Department of Security, the attack took place in the early this fridayAt around 3 a.m., several Ertzaintza patrols were ordered by the command and control center to go to the outskirts of a gas station in the Ublilluts neighborhood, because a person claimed to have been attacked by youths.
Once there, the agents identified a man who had numerous bruises on his face from an assault and who provided a description of the alleged perpetrators. The ertzainas requested an ambulance to treat the victim for the multiple bruises. Then, a health resource proceeded to evaluate and transfer the injured man to the La Asunción Hospital, in Tolosa, so that he could be treated for the fractures and injuries of some severity that he presented. as consequences of the blows.
The victim told officers that He had gone to the gas station with the intention of buying tobacco. and, once they arrived at the payment counter of the gas station, two young men approached him and began a dialectical confrontation with him.
According to Security, the victim tried to avoid the argument and, as he was leaving the scene, he was chased and approached by the two young men who began to attack him, punching and kicking him. At the same time, other members of the same group of young people approached him, who was drinking drinks on an outdoor terrace, and joined in the attack on the victim.
Ertzaintza agents went to the scene to identify and arrest the two youths who had launched the attack, for an alleged offence of injury.
In recent hours, investigations carried out by Ertzaintza have allowed the identification and arrest of the other three young people who participated in this collective attack. IThe five arrested men, aged between 20 and 25,remain in police stations awaiting the end of the procedure, in order to be brought to justice.
