The general secretary of the PP, Cuca Gamarrarequested this Tuesday an investigation after the suspension of the RTVE examination so that responsibilities can be determined, while defending that “compensation” be granted to opponents who had “the financial cost of being able to attend this examination”.
This was stated during an informative breakfast organized by the Fórum Europa, after RTVE decided on Sunday to postpone the opposition process for the informant category after detecting a leak in the questions of the test. In the end, the new exam will take place on November 2.
Gamarra admitted that his party was “concerned” by what happened on Sunday after deciding to suspend this exam, which affected “thousands” of opponents who “had their expectations placed on this exam.”
“We demand an investigation, we demand that there be one and that responsibilities be assumed and we also demand that compensation be paid to all those opponents who not only devoted their time, but also incurred financial costs to be able to witness an embarrassing spectacle in which they saw some tests suspended because the questions had been disclosed,” he said.
RTVE negotiation
When asked if there were contacts between the PP and the PSOE for the renewal of the interim president of RTVE, Cascajosa DesignGamarra denied it. “We are neither collaborating nor participating in this negotiation,” he added, in statements collected by Europe Press.
In this sense, the “number two” of Alberto Núñez Feijóo declared that the Popular Party “cannot collaborate in a renewal where Pedro Sánchez’s only attempt is to continue to control Spanish Radio and Television.”
Following, Gamarra assured that the regeneration plan promoted by the President of GovernmentPedro Sanchez, It’s a “censorship plan” with which he seeks to “protect” his wife, Begoña Gómez.
“Democratic regeneration and Pedro Sánchez are like water and oil, because those who have degenerated and degenerated democracy in our country every day. Obviously, they are not capable of regenerating it. The Popular Party will regenerate it when we will be able to reach the Spanish government,” he said, adding that there are many organizations that “need to be decolonized.”
According to Gamarra, Sánchez’s plan aims “solely and exclusively to muzzle anyone who is ready to contradict him or denounce the corruption that affects his government, his party and those close to him.”
At this point, confirmed that the PP will oppose “any measure” aimed at “gagging the media”that they must continue to exercise as the “fourth power”. “We want a country where the press is free, where journalists can carry out their work and do it in complete freedom. That’s what we are going to do,” he added.
The Oscars defend Sánchez
On the other hand, Gamarra said that the Minister of Transport, Oscar Puenteand the Minister of Digital Transformation, ÓScar Lopezwere appointed to “defend” “sanchism”, that is to say “defend the president’s wife”.
“The Oscars, in fact, Oscar I and Oscar II. Óscar Puente and Óscar López, I think they do their job very well.. They are not there to solve the problems of the Spanish people,” declared the secretary general of the PP.
