High-risk disappearance of psychologist Marcos in Fuenlabrada: he confessed in the church and abandoned his car

Last Sunday, August 18, around 6:00 p.m., Marcos Olmedo, 37 years old, told his family he was going for a walk. He took his car and parked it at La Serna train station, Fuenlabrada. And unfortunately, that’s the last we know of him.

This Wednesday marks the 10th day of his disappearance, 10 days during which Marcos’ family has not lost hope that he will reappear safe and sound. These sources indicate that the last time he was seen, Marcos was wearing dark gray shorts, a green T-shirt and black sneakers. He has shaved hair, brown eyes, a slim build and is 1.85 meters tall.

Juan Manuel Medinalawyer and spokesman for the family, explains in a telephone conversation to Madrid Total that Marcos had been going through “a depression since May” and emphasizes that, in the complexity of a situation like this, “he was leading a normal life.”

Apparently, a few hours before his disappearance, Marcos had “more erratic, sad and melancholic behavior” compared to previous days. The same day, his mother encouraged him to “stop looking at your cell phone” and to carry out an activity. His response was that he was “looking at trains to travel somewhere”.

That very morning, Marcos went to “confess to a priest”Another strange detail, since he was not a practicing Catholic and did not attend church regularly. Although everything said in a confessional is secret, the priest Marcos spoke to said he had not said anything related to his disappearance or that could suggest a tragic scenario.

As of 6pm on Sunday, August 18, Marcos was nowhere to be found: “His phone was turned off. The last details we have about him are due to the fact that his mother is authorized to access his bank accounts. Marcos went to a Fuenlabrada Pharmacy and bought a box of 50 Lorazepan tablets”. Therefore, the pharmacist who treated him would be the last to see Marcos before his disappearance.

Juan Manuel Medina He explains that Marcos was currently “on sick leave due to depression,” but comments that he is an extremely prepared person: “He has degrees in psychology, sociology and audiology.” Regarding Marcos’ medical report, the family spokesman explains that he had “some relationship difficulties” or a possible “fear of rejection,” but no factors that could explain his sudden disappearance.

At the police and judicial level, the case is complex. The case is being handled by the police family care unit. Fuenlabrada and it is also in the hands of Court Number 5 of the aforementioned municipality, the same court before which Marcos’ mother filed the complaint: “It is not easy, because the court is reluctant to give certain details such as the geolocation of the phone, that is why we represented ourselves as private prosecutions to request a series of procedures.”
