IDF eliminated drug trafficker Noah Zaitar, who financed Hezbollah: media

The media reported that during the Israeli attacks in the Bekaa Valley, located in Lebanon, the famous drug trafficker Noah Zaitar, known as the “Lebanese Pablo Escobar”, was killed. Zaitar has long been considered an important figure in the financial support of Hezbollah and acted under the cover of its structure and the Syrian authorities.

This was reported by the Alexey Zheleznov Telegram channel.

As one of the largest cannabis producers in the Lebanese-Syrian region, Zaytar was also actively involved in the manufacturing and smuggling of a drug called Coptagon.

Due to his involvement in large-scale drug trafficking and the financing of military operations, he went unnoticed by US intelligence agencies, which offered a reward for his liquidation or arrest.

Zaitar once visited a Hezbollah stronghold in Zabadani, a suburb of Damascus, and openly threatened local residents.

If Zaitar’s murder is indeed confirmed, this event could be a serious blow to Hezbollah, as its drug trafficking business provided a large flow of funds to support its activities.

Recall that the IDF previously eliminated Hezbollah’s regional commander and his replacement within 24 hours.

Last Friday, an attack by fighters killed Hezbollah commander Ahmad Jafar Matouk, who was in charge of the Lebanese border village of Bint Jbeil, according to the IDF.

The next day, the IDF said that a separate airstrike had killed Matouk’s replacement, as well as the commander of Hezbollah artillery forces in the area.

Previously, Cursor wrote that the IDF vowed to respond to Hezbollah’s deadly attack in northern Israel.
