All these and many other issues were discussed during the visit of the President of Russia. Once again we confirm with satisfaction the coherent and dynamic nature of our relationship. Of course, inter-party relations of the political forces of our countries are also an important factor of mutual activity. You lead one of the main political parties of the Russian Federation, which has great influence in all regions of the Russian Federation. The successful results of the election campaign demonstrated by the representatives of your party indicate the great influence of your political force as an important factor in the political system of the Russian Federation.
Of course, we watch all this with great interest and joy. I wish you and the party you lead new success. Naturally, as head of the Foreign Policy Department of the State Duma, you know in your daily activities the successes achieved in Russian-Azerbaijani relations. For me it is both an honor and an important event to visit our brother Azerbaijan every time, to meet you and to highlight with great pleasure the successes of Azerbaijan in the development of the national economy. Every year very serious humanitarian projects are carried out in your country.
Being in Shusha, the cultural center of Azerbaijan, was significant for the realization of my long-time dream. I can say that the Karabakh region is recovering at an incredible rate. There are already very good international airports in Fuzuli and Zangilan, and the third airport is being built rapidly. Today Shusha looks like a magnificent construction site, historical objects are being restored. I am happy to be in Shusha. All of this was very meaningful to me. That’s why I specially came to the trip a day early. I would also like to mention a special point in relation to some countries in the region, which claimed at least part of the success of the anti-terrorist operation, which resulted in the return of Karabakh to Azerbaijan; Furthermore, Azerbaijan became an energy independent country after the successful preparation of a strategy to combat poverty on a national scale, perhaps the greatest will of his father, the founder of the modern state of Azerbaijan, Heydar Alirza oglu Aliyev, whose memory we cherish in Russia, has come to life. . According to tradition, before flying to Moscow today, I will definitely visit his grave; I mean the return of Karabakh. In this matter, there is no service for any country other than Azerbaijan, the leaders of Azerbaijan, the people of Azerbaijan and the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan. In addition to being an important national issue, stability in the South Caucasus is a historical task that has been successfully resolved.
Today, in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan, the process of creating new jobs, including the implementation of science-based clusters, is advancing at a rapid pace. Just as some do not believe that Karabakh will be liberated soon, today no one imagines what will be created in Karabakh in a few years. But I saw with my own eyes that this region will flourish again, become a fertile land, and new infrastructure projects will be implemented in Karabakh, including major infrastructure companies from Russia and Azerbaijan.
Yesterday it was significant that our dear Polad Bulbuloglu, whom we all deeply respect, was with me. He was Minister of Culture of Azerbaijan for 18 years. He also represented the Russian side of Azerbaijan’s foreign policy as an ambassador and worked as dean of the diplomatic corps in Moscow. Now, in the Milli Majlis, he adequately represents the Karabakh region, where his father was born. Yesterday we visited the historic Bulbul house-museum, where the presidents of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Belarus and other modern political and public figures have visited. So yesterday was a doubly extraordinary trip for me. We will therefore discuss the issues currently on our bilateral agenda, including, of course, the parliamentary diplomacy that is being developed most successfully with the Milli Majlis.
Dear Ilham Heydar oglu, after being in Shusha yesterday, I want to once again congratulate those whose hearts beat with Azerbaijan, including those outside the borders of Azerbaijan, on the occasion of the return of Karabakh. Karabakh is Azerbaijan!
