President Ilham Aliyev Signed the Order on the deprivation of Tofig Hasanov of the highest special rank and state award.

By order, based on the entry into force of the court ruling on the conviction of Tofig Etibar oghlu Hasanov for the commission of serious crimes and the submission of the Serious Crimes Court of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, he is deprived of the special high rank of Major General of Justice and the “For the Homeland” medal.

This decree comes into force from the day of its signing.

It should be recalled that the former head of the Penitentiary Service of the Nakhichevan Autonomous Republic, Major General of Justice Tofig Hasanov, was detained in January 2023 in the framework of an ongoing criminal case in the Main Investigation Department of the Security Service of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. State. The former head of the service was accused of accepting a large bribe. He was charged with articles 311.3.1, 311.3.2, 311.3.3 of the Penal Code (repeated and large-scale bribery by a group of persons who previously conspired).
