October 1 is the birthday of Mansum Ibrahimov, People’s Artist, Order of Glory, who plays a unique role in the musical art of Azerbaijan.

Mansum, who showed great interest in music since childhood, studied at the Mugham Department of the Baku Musical Technical School named after Asaf Zeynalli in 1982-87, and at the Faculty of Cultural Education of the State University of Culture and Arts of Azerbaijan in 1988-93. .
The singer, who distinguished herself from a very young age for her talent, won first place in the competition dedicated to the centenary of the birth of the genius composer Uzeyir Hajibeyov in 1985.
At the same time, she was invited to the Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater on the recommendation of the popular singer, folk artist Shavkat Alakbarova. Since 1993, Mansum Ibrahimov has skillfully played leading roles in this theater, such as “Majnun” in the opera “Leyli and Majnun”, “Garib” in “Ashiq Garib”, “Jamal” in “Bride’s Rock”, “Azanchi ” in “Seville”.
