The red notice due to the heavy rains expected this Wednesday in Malaga led the Superior Court of Justice of Andalusia (TSJA) ahsuspend for today the legal proceedings the province of Malaga and in the judicial districts of the coast of Granada. Concretely, judicial activity is paralyzed in the Malagasy municipalities of Estepona, Marbella, Fuengirola, Torremolinos, Coín, Málaga, Vélez-Málaga and Torrox, as well as in the courts of Almuñécar and Motril.
As reported this Wednesday by the TSJA in a press release, the heads of the judicial bodies of Antequera, Archidona, in the province of Malaga, and of Loja and Granada capital, in the province of Granada, are also “urged” to consider “the necessity for avoid traveling and the risks they may pose for professionals and citizens” summoned to scheduled judicial acts and who adopt, where appropriate, “the decision to suspend them in order to guarantee the safety of people”.
In addition, the TSJA The TSJA recommended that the courts of Granada, Santa Fe and Loja “reflect on the necessity” of inviting people to come to the headquarters. Likewise, they urged to take into account the specific circumstances and follow the guidelines established by the administrative authorities corresponding. At the same time, the TSJA agreement indicates that said recommendations could be used to reconsider its terms.
As the TSJA specifies, they decided to adopt this decision to suspend judicial activity due to the creation by the Spanish Meteorological Agency (AEMET) of a red alert which affects the province of Malaga and an orange alert over a large part of the province of Granada. This situation is expected to last throughout Wednesday and continue until Thursday.
Urgent actions
On the contrary, the agreed suspension will not affect any of the actions of the daycarewhich will be considered urgent and cannot be postponed, as well as any other legal action “of imperative and urgent necessity or the delay of which could cause irreparable harm”.
Finally, it is indicated that the judicial acts concerned by this suspension will be rescheduled by the various judicial authorities with preference to any event “pending programming”.
