An art boutique has been opened in the Gilabi Ceramics creative center located on Heydar Aliyev Street.
According to the director of Gilabi Ceramics, artist Emin Alakbarov, not all employees of the Lachin creative center are professional artists. Their love and enthusiasm for art led them to this direction, and in this center they learned the secrets of the craft. They have matured over time.
The works of art produced in Lachin differ from those in Balakhani. Raw materials from Lachin are also used in the production of Lachin products. Although the white clay needed for production is imported from Turkey, the red clay is obtained from Lachin itself without having to go far. Lachin is at the heart of all the works of art created: Lachin folklore, Lachin architectural elements, patterns related to the famous Kasimushaghi carpet – all this is reflected in examples of ceramics and applied decorative arts. According to Emin Alakbarov, a production workshop of the company was also set up in Khojaly. The center will officially start operating when the residents of Khojaly return with full staff. For now, the company is looking for artists from Khojaly. If there are people who can work, let them come, finding work will not be a problem.
From now on, Lachin artisans will be able to present their products to buyers in their own boutiques. The main sales centre of “Gilaby Ceramics” is well known to the residents of the capital and visitors of our city. The new boutique opened in Lachin is more versatile than the one in Baku. Thus, an art-café has been opened on the same site. The art-café “Gilabi” is planned to function as a kind of art club, i.e. more than a catering service, where private events, performances of creative people (writers and poets), musical evenings, ghazal, poetry, mugham will be held. Meetings, jazz jam sessions are held.
The goal is to create a creative atmosphere in the Gilabi art cafe and in the new boutique. If the plans come true, the Gilabi Ceramics creative center will be recognized as the most interesting tourist attraction in Lachin. To achieve this, people must first of all have a desire, a love for art and a determination to work. Love for art has existed for a long time. The admiration of the public who watched the concert of the Hijaz group at the opening of the boutique will be remembered for a long time. Thus, there is already an interesting and leveled audience, and it is the turn of the artists. On the day of the holiday, the doors of the Lachin art store were declared open to everyone.
It should be noted that not even a year has passed since the opening of the Lachin branch of the centre operating in Balakhani. Since the end of last year, Lachin artists have started producing various products here.
