Musk said there had been “an attack on freedom of expression unprecedented in the 21st century.”

Social network X owner Elon Musk, in response to a user’s comment about the blocking of the social network in Brazil, declared “attacks on freedom of expression unprecedented in the 21st century.”

“The same thing will happen in the United States if Kamala (Democratic presidential candidate) Kamala Harris) and Walz[Harris’presidentialcampaignpartner[compañerodefórmuladelacampañapresidencialdeHarris[напарникХарриспо президентскойкампанииTim Walz(who, if she wins, will become vice president) will come to power,” – says the businessman.

In his opinion, the Brazilian Supreme Court, which decided to suspend X’s work in the country, “is closing the number one source of truth.”

Pre-judgeAlejandro Moraes ordered that X’s employment be suspended until he complied with the court orders and paid all fines.

On Wednesday, August 28, the court gave Musk’s social network 24 hours to appoint a new legal representative in the country, otherwise it threatened to block him. That deadline expired on Thursday evening. X refused to comply with this demand.

The country will also introduce fines of 50,000 Brazilian reals ($8,900) for using a social network through a VPN.
