In Sukhum, clashes broke out during the day near the People’s Assembly building. At night, at the entrance to Sukhum, according to public pages of the opposition, agents of the State Security Service detained opposition representatives. Omar Esmira, Harry Kokaya, Almaskhan Ardzinba, Ramaza Jopua AND Aslana Bagatelia.
A crowd gathered at the State Security Service building and broke down the door. Agents of the State Security Service guard the door. Relatives of the detainees, political figures and the general public now remain in this place.
There are still no statements from the leaders of the opposition associations. There is still no official information about those detained.
Pro-government public pages, in turn, report that opponents were preparing a coup attempt.
“On Friday, the day when the issue of ratification of the investment agreement was considered, provocateurs were preparing clashes with law enforcement officials and an attempted assault on the parliament building,” – states, in particular, Sovmin.
