Murcia Fair

The Capital of Segura Fair, which takes place from September 5 to 17, is a special celebration since 2025 marks the 1,200th anniversary of this city founded by Abd al-Rahman II in 825. The municipalities of Aledo, Alhama de Murcia, Librilla, Mula, Pliego and Totana have once again been protagonists of early music with the ECOS International Music Festival of Sierra Espuña. The 8th edition takes place on weekends between August 23 and September 7, 2024 with a total of nine concerts in the usual venues of the six municipalities that make up the Sierra Espuña Tourist Association.

Lorca Fair

During the Lorca Fair you can enjoy both the small fair, which takes place in the first days of September, and the large one, which lasts until the last days of that same month.

Also celebrated on these dates is the pilgrimage of the Virgin of Las Huertas, during which the patron saint is accompanied by a multitude of faithful on her journey from her sanctuary to other temples in the city.

 

 

 

In Lorca there is the only synagogue in Spain that has never been modified by any other religion and is located in its castle.

Carthaginian and Roman festivals in Cartagena

Caves and rice fields in Calasparra

In the town of Calasparra, in the northwest region of the Region of Murcia, everything revolves around its star product: rice, the first in the world to obtain the Designation of Origin, in 1986. Enjoy this landscape thanks to the circular routes it offers, which should preferably be done on foot. The best time to visit is during the planting cycles – in May – and the harvest cycles, in the months of September and October. Take note.

Culture, sport, tradition and religion come together to offer, from September 19 to 25, a few days to live with friends or family.

 

 

 

Festival side B of Molina de Segura

The Region of Murcia has always been characterized by its large pool of independent artists. That is why it usually hosts concerts by nationally and internationally renowned artists. As every year for almost two decades, the B-Side festival will take place in Molina de Segura, the cradle of the independent world. This 2024 is celebrated on September 14. The headliner is the group Amaral. Among the participating artists are Iván Ferreiro, Samurai and Cala Vento.

 

 

 

The festival coincides with the celebration of the Molina de Segura festivities, one of the most recent in the Community and one of the most important. A youthful atmosphere reigns in the town on these dates, with concerts offered free of charge by the Town Hall of the town and a multitude of activities.
