Koldo claims that senior Transport officials lied: “The audit is full of lies”

Koldo García Izaguirre assures EL ESPAÑOL that the general director and other officials of the Ministry of Transport they lied during the audit commissioned by Oscar Puente.

“I never had the key to the office where the masks were kept in Transport,” says the former advisor to José Luis Ábalos in statements to this newspaper.

“It’s all lies, the audit is full of lies.” Koldo García also details that, precisely, “the chief and the second lieutenant of the Civil Guard were thethe people who kept the key and those responsible for the distributions that were made.”

Thus, the former advisor to Ábalos directly points to Alejandro Alas Pumariño, a senior officer of MITMA, and José Luis Rodríguez, a second lieutenant of the Civil Guard and also accused in the Koldo case.

Koldo Garcia assures that the second lieutenant had these masks to distribute to the state security forces and agencies and that “the delivery notes were always signed” this remained “within the power of the Chief Officer”.

For the Navarrese socialist, “the audit is nonsense” and “has no legal validity”. Precisely, this Thursday, Judge Ismael Moreno decided to include it in the summary of the case and asked the prosecution if it would summon Óscar Puente as a witness.

It also guarantees that He was never “on the ground” in Barajas to receive the masks, as stated in the audit. “I only went to customs control once, checked that everything was fine and took a photo for the communications department.”

The keys to the offices of the Ministry of Transport were in the custody of the Director General. “This is easily demonstrated, since the accommodation service depends on it and this is not established by the audit.” “This shows that the report is not rigorous and objective”he adds.

This newspaper published in June that Alejandro Alas Pumariño had a close friendship with the second lieutenant, the other person who had a copy to distribute the masks.

Furthermore, the second lieutenant took advantage of his relationship with the senior officer to sneak businessmen linked to the companies under investigation into the Ministry of Transport.

The defense of the former advisor to Ábalos will try to demonstrate the illegality of this audit, because it does not meet the requirements of “independence” and “objectivity.”

As EL ESPAÑOL published this Friday, José Luis Ábalos will also denounce the ministry of Óscar Puente through administrative channels and will present a legal report to the National Court that discredits the report.

Various security officers and union representatives from the Ministry of Transport They confirm to this newspaper the version given by Koldo García and they assure that “the masks were in the custody of the chief and the second lieutenant of the Civil Guard.”

Koldo Garcia also refutes his statements the Director General of Finance and Management Control of ADIFManuel Fresno: “There is no way he saw a conspiracy at that time in Management Solutions, and if he did, why didn’t he make it known?”

The former advisor of Ábalos defends that Soluciones de Gestión had the cheapest price, “because it included logistics and other companies did not.” In addition, they ensured the supply in a market full of uncertainties and scams at that time.

“The officials who spoke during this audit will now have to corroborate it with evidence, but they will not be able to do so because it is all lies,” he said.

Despite this, the former advisor affirms that “in transport there are great professionals and they have done everything possible to bring masks to Spain in an emergency and critical situation like the pandemic.”

Criticism of the PSOE and Puente

He is particularly critical of his party: “I don’t understand why they declared me guilty without first having had the opportunity to prove my innocence.”

For Koldo García, “the audit did not respect the fundamental rights” of the people being investigated. “The PSOE and Puente did not act with coherence and common sense”he declares.

“I understand that they can suspend me from activism while the case is open, but not that they are specifically responsible for organizing a parallel and illegal trial and pronouncing a sentence.”

The former right-hand man of José Luis Ábalos continues to defend his innocence and is convinced that it will be proven.

Regarding the position of the PP and the statements made in recent days by Miguel Tellado, among other popular leaders, he said: “The first thing is that they always forget to use the word alleged and the second thing is that before speaking they should look behind the doors to see inside.”

“The PP communities were buying masks at a much higher price and in some cases they were not even arriving, but commissions were paid to intermediaries,” he says.
