The destruction of the Crimean bridge will lead to Putin’s downfall

The destruction of the Crimean bridge will trigger the inevitable processes of power struggle in Russia. This is because the Russians considered the multi-billion-dollar bridge project as one of the elements of victory “over the Nazis” after the annexation of Crimea, said political scientist and publicist Andrei Piontkovsky in an interview with Espreso.

The expert noted that the war party, which now dominates the information space of the Russian Federation, has three groups. Each of them hates the other and blames each other for the failures of the war, as well as for the huge losses of the Russian army on the battlefield and the economic crisis, which has already consumed many regions of Russia and may soon affect the life of the country’s elite.

The three parties are the army, the FSB and the so-called “Prigozhinsky” people’s militia. They all have polar opinions and cannot agree on a single plan for Russia.

“In my opinion, another humiliating kick to Putin would undermine this mix-up. I am sure that the Ukrainian military command is preparing for this, I mean the destruction of the Crimean bridge,” Piontkovsky said.

Piontkovsky added that Putin is now trying to keep his place in power, but he still does not understand that the war is already lost. Russia has already lost the war that Putin declared in 2022 and now the only question is who will be blamed for it. The collapse of the Crimean bridge will only expose the unpleasant truth for Russians.

Earlier, Kursor reported that partisans conducted reconnaissance on how the Russians are trying to protect the Crimean bridge from drones or missiles.
