The Wednesday plenary sessions in Congress are usually the toughest of the entire week, since they begin with questions from the opposition and the government control session. It wasn’t like that with this one. Among the deputies who could not arrive on time because of DANA and those who decided to abandon it in solidarity with the victims, including PP and Vox, only eulogies were heard in the Lower House.
The only item remaining on the agenda was the validation of the royal decree approved last week by the government to guarantee control of the Spanish Radio and Television Council (RTVE) through the reduction of the parliamentary majorities necessary for achieve it. It was finally approved with 175 votes in favor and the only one against the BNG deputy, Néstor Rego.
