In terms of Turkish history, an important archival document has been obtained. The Arabic letter sent by the great Seljuk ruler Togrul Bey to the Byzantine Emperor Constantine IX Monomachus has been revealed for the first time. It is not known when and where the letter was written. But it was taken from the Berlin State Library as a copy and translated for the first time.

In the revealed letter, it is noted that the Turkish ruler Togrul bey intimidated the Byzantine ruler. Its translation into modern Turkish is as follows:

“This letter of ours is addressed to the ruler-proprietor of Rum (Byzantium). May God prolong his life! May God bless him with the happiness of Islam, full faith and the help of the Truth, and grant him mature soldiers. In this thing that we invite him and present to him, the safety of himself and his people, the security of his country and There is security for the protection of his soldiers and the people of his country. May God Almighty put us in possession of the rulers of Iran and make us an unsheathed sword and an unquenchable fire gave us great victories and successes.

He made our iron arm strong with various tribes of Turks, Deylamli and Kurds, who spread everywhere, defied death, prospered even if they advanced over high mountains and wide seas, and whose arms were strong. It is seen that the names of the authors of the return of our messenger are mentioned. From the great Amir Abu Mansur Vahsu: May God protect them always! – we are waiting for his approval. Let him express his opinion so that (we too) act accordingly; Let us send our horsemen towards him, by the permission of God Almighty!
