For this reason, and taking into account the unpredictability of this meteorological phenomenon, the Andalusian Government has adopted the decision to suspend classes in the provinces on orange and red alert by DANA. “Prevention is better than cure. This is why the most sensible and reasonable thing is for there to be no schools. I know that for many it is a logistical problem, but traveling is terribly dangerous and the best way to avoid it is to suspend schools,” Moreno said in an interview with Canal Sur, in which he requested the “understanding” of citizens.
The president highlighted the great citizen response to security protocols in the province of Malaga, where classes have already been canceled today, and in part of Granada. “Citizen behavior reduces the risks due to this Dana. And fortunately, for the moment, we have not reported any casualties in Andalusia. Let’s not end up screwing this up,” the president said.
