The Russian Embassy in Copenhagen demanded an explanation from the Danish television channel TV2 about the publication, stating that the publication’s journalists illegally crossed the state border of the Russian Federation. Illegal crossing of the Russian state border is a criminal offense, Russian diplomats said in an open letter to media editors.
“On October 30, TV 2 published a report from the area of the Ukrainian city of Sumy with the commander of one of the units of the Ukrainian armed forces that participated in the attack on the Kursk region. TV 2 used its own photograph of a Ukrainian soldier in the Russian post office in this report. The embassy demands explanations for the appearance of such a photograph and the actions of the Danish journalists. Illegal crossing of the Russian state border is a criminal offense.” — he states in a letter published on the embassy’s Telegram channel.
The diplomatic mission also noted that the interview in the report takes place in the context of the Nazi symbols of Hitler’s Germany.
“The desire of the Danish media to ignore the facts indicating the spread of fascist ideology in Ukraine, including among military personnel, causes outrage.” – the embassy emphasized.
